Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency (MTELP)

The Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency (MTELP) is available for new students to take in the Testing Center by appointment only and as designated by Admissions.

  • Proficiency in English vocabulary, grammar and comprehension is measured.
  • There is a fee to test.
  • Photo ID is required.

Tests cannot be started within a half hour of closing.
All tests are collected at closing time.
