English as a Second Language

At Schoolcraft College you can continue your quest to learn the English language in a low-stress, friendly learning environment with professionals guiding you every step of the way. We offer the highest quality and affordable continuing education classes in an interactive, classroom style format. We have three classes that can help you reach a level of English proficiency:
- Accent Reduction I Class
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Preparation Class
- English as a Second Language Classes—Levels I–V
A placement test is required for correct level placement in all English as a Second Language classes. The last test date is approximately one week before classes begin and space is limited, so please plan ahead. Testing is by appointment only. Please call 734-462-4448 or email CEPD@schoolcraft.edu to schedule an appointment. Testing begins promptly at the appointment time and lasts 2–3 hours.
All sessions are at 6pm unless otherwise noted.
Once testing has been completed, students may register for ESL classes in-person at the Admissions & Enrollment Center in the McDowell Center. No online registration is available.
