Culinary Arts Boot Camp: Grades 7, 8 & 9

Course Description

Don your chef jacket and prepare for five days of basic training. Not the military kind of training, but the cooking kind! You'll begin with basic sanitation and knife skills. You'll prepare daily menus and take some of your creations home to share with your family. Every day will be a new and exciting experience, filled with information on nutrition, preparation techniques and hanging out with other chefs. No experience necessary. A chef coat and lunch will be provided. Bring a tool kit with the following: a paring and chef knife; heat proof spatula and measuring spoons. Wear long pants and comfortable, closed-toe shoes; long hair should be tied back.
