Community Practice Pharmacy Technician
Prepare for a career as a Pharmacy Technician in a community or outpatient setting. Explore the many responsibilities including prescription processing, filling medications, outpatient services, non-sterile compounding and retail customer service. Topics relevant to all retail healthcare settings such as practices, policies and procedures used when interacting with patients will be studied. Review the top 200 prescribed and top 100 over-the-counter drugs. All learning materials are included in the class cost. Prerequisite: math skills including arithmetic, basic algebra, complex fractions and equations, conversions and basic analytical concepts (skills utilized in high school algebra). Daytime classes have a lunch which is not included in CEU total.
