Course Description

The course is an in-depth study of Probability and Statistics. The course concentrates on decisions based on statistical data and is a logical subsequent course to MATH 122 Elementary Statistics.

Prerequisites

(A requirement that must be completed before taking this course.)

Course Competencies

Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an ability to use the various statistical analyses available to aid in the decision-making process.
  • Describe the link between quantitative methods and other areas of business that are fundamental to the workplace.
  • Demonstrate command of a knowledge base of quantitative methods and theory as it relates to the foundation of the students’ program of study.
