AT&T Grant Helps Local Students Prepare for College and Beyond

Published Aug 14, 2013

This fall Schoolcraft College will launch a pilot College and Beyond course with high school students from Livonia's Franklin and Stevenson High Schools and Garden City High School. The pilot program, funded by a $15,000 grant from AT&T Michigan, is designed to introduce student high school seniors to the strategies and attitudes that will help them maximize their potential for both college and the workforce. Students enrolled in CAB 12-week online course will receive both high school credits and college credit, giving them a head start on their higher education goals.

During the course students will begin to understand college terminology, learn to navigate a college system, explore a variety of learning styles, time management skills and study strategies.
