BMET Faculty Member Receives Professional of the Year Award from TechNation

     Salim Kai, member of the Schoolcraft College Biomedical Engineering Technology/Electronic Technology faculty, recently received the CBET (Certified Biomedical Engineering Technology) Professional of the Year Award from TechNation. This prestigious award is presented annually to recognize noteworthy individuals in the healthcare technology management field. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Kai is employed at University of Michigan Health System in the biomedical engineering department. Education has been the key to Kai’s success, “In 1988, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Eastern Michigan University. Then, shortly after, I enrolled at Schoolcraft College in the Biomedical Engineering Technology program, of which I graduated in 1991 with an associate degree in biomedical technology.”
