Annual Schoolcraft Faculty Concert is Mar. 19

     As part of the Schoolcraft College Noon Concert Series, several members of the Schoolcraft College music program faculty will perform a free concert at noon on Wed., Mar. 19 in the VisTaTech Center. The concert will feature pianists Gerardo Ascheri and Barton Polot along with Paul Michalsen on trumpet.
     Dr. Ascheri is an active teacher, music advocate, arranger, soloist and chamber musician. He also directs the Piano Programs at Schoolcraft.
     Michalsen is director of the Wind Ensemble at Schoolcraft College.  He is an educator, musician and clinician who has performed across the United States and Great Britain and is the founding director of the Plymouth Brass Ensemble, a professional performance ensemble.
     Dr. Polot teaches music theory and ear training, electronic music composition and is responsible for the music technology program at Schoolcraft College.  He is a widely-known national clinician, lecturer and author on applications of technology in music education. 
     The Noon Concert events are free, open to the public and last approximately one hour. Donations at the door are gratefully accepted and help fund student scholarships.
