The College

Schoolcraft College is a comprehensive two-year public community college established in 1961. The College is fully accredited by the North Central Association of College and Secondary Schools. In 2008/2009, enrollment in academic and continuing education programs exceeded 34,680 students. The College follows a semester calendar; however, classes are conducted year round.

Schoolcraft College offers a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational programs to meet individual needs and interests, including the increasing need for lifelong learning. The programs are intended to help individuals realize and develop their potential, to increase their ability to think critically and creatively, to develop their capacity for making sound judgments, to appreciate their cultural heritage, and to encourage them to seek active and meaningful participation in the life of their community.
