Middle School College Night rescheduled for February 17

The Middle School College Night has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 17 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Eighth grade students and their parents can get a head start on preparing for college by attending this event, which will be held in the DiPonio Room of the VisTaTech Center on the college’s main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.

Schoolcraft College sponsors several Martin Luther King Jr. Day events Jan. 17

Monday, January 17, 2011 Schoolcraft College will host a variety of activities in celebration and recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Activities include a festival of short films, a poetry slam, airing of a special documentary, a poverty simulation and an art exhibit.

Author Thomas Norman DeWolf to visit campus April 6

Thomas Norman DeWolf, author of Inheriting the Trade will visit the Schoolcraft College campus in Livonia on Wednesday, April 6. He will speak at 1:15 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center. DeWolf's visit is sponsored by Pageturners Book Discussion group and is one of several activities in January and February exploring issues of slave trade. The event is free and open to the public.
