Annual Golf Classic Fore Scholarships rescheduled for August 17

The Schoolcraft College Foundation will be hosting the 27th Annual Golf Classic Fore Scholarships on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon. Tickets are $250 per person. Sponsorships are still available. Shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Public can test-ride electric vehicles during Electric Vehicle Rally on June 12

Second annual Michigan Electric Vehicle Rally and Show is Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. It will be held on the Schoolcraft College campus in Livonia.  Participants will see more than 50 electric vehicles on display, have an opportunity to ride in an electric vehicle, watch AutoCross competitions and learn more about the future of electric vehicles. The event is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, June 3, 2010  Schoolcraft College will host a special viewing of PBS's "Beyond the Motor City" at 1:15 p.m. in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center. The video examines how Detroit, a grim symbol of America's diminishing status in the world, may come to represent the future of transportation and progress in America.

Livonia resident to make his debut as conductor during concert June 9

Stephen Noble of Livonia will make his debut as student conductor during a free outdoor Wind Ensemble concert Wednesday, June 9 at the college's Radcliff Center in Garden City. The concert begin at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
