Electric Vehicle Show Sat., June 8 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Schoolcraft College will host the Fifth Annual Electric Vehicle Show, which features an opportunity to ride or drive the latest electric vehicles.  The Show is free and open to the public. This event is a great opportunity for the public to see all kinds of EVs and Plug-In Hybrid cars up-close, talk to the owners and learn about all of the accessories that are used with electric vehicles.

Father's Day Brunch and Concert with Dave Bennett Quartet

The Dave Bennett Quartet will be the featured performers at a special Father’s Day Brunch, Sun., Jun. 16 at noon, Tickets for the brunch are $27.50 per person and proceeds benefit the annual Michigan Jazz Festival on Sun., Jul. 21. Following the meal the quartet, including clarinetist Dave Bennett, pianist Cliff Monear, drummer Doug Cobb and bassist Kurt Krahnke, will take the stage.

Michigan New Jobs Training Program Opportunity

The Michigan New Jobs Training Program offers area employers an opportunity to receive training funds for newly created jobs (not replacements or layoff workers) that pay a minimum of $12.95 per hour (17.5 percent of minimum wage). This program is funded through Michigan state income tax diversions.

Motorcycle Safety Program at Schoolcraft Benefits from Additional Grant Funding

May is Motorcycle Awareness Month. In a statewide effort to improve motorcyclist safety, the state of Michigan has increased the funding for The Detroit Metro Regional Motorcycle Safety Program administered by Schoolcraft College’s Continuing Education and Professional Development department. CEPD offers both basic and advanced rider courses taught by professional, certified instructors who have a passion for both riding and riding safety.

Schoolcraft hosts Summer Piano Camp for School-age Musicians in June

Schoolcraft College’s renowned Music Department is sponsoring a special week-long Summer Piano Camp for school-age students once again this summer, Mon. - Fri., June 24 - 28. Piano students at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels will enjoy this unique experience and change of pace from their traditional private lessons. Deadline for registration is Tues., June 11.
