Tickets available for annual Culinary Extravaganza on September 23

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available for the 21st annual Culinary Extravaganza on Sunday, September 23, 2011 from  2-5 p.m. at the college’s VisTaTech Center (Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads) in Livonia.

This annual event, now in its 21st year, is a unique opportunity for guests to sample the finest culinary delicacies from dozens of the area’s most notable restaurants, pastry shops and beverage vendors. Tickets for Culinary Extravaganza are $50 per person ($20 of which is tax-deductible) and can be ordered online or are available by calling 734-462-4518.

Back by popular demand, this year's event includes a wholesome, healthy foods demonstration by Master Chef Jeff Gabriel. In addition Culinary Extravaganza 2012 attendees can pariticpate in a wine tasting seminar with Lee Hershey; a silent auction, featuring a wide variety of items; and a raffle. Tickets for the raffle are only $5.00 each or three for $10.00. The raffle drawing will be held between 4-5 p.m. during Culinary Extravaganza, however, raffle ticket purchasers need not be present to win. The Grand Prize for the raffle is $1,000. Other prizes for the raffle include a $500 cash prize, two $250 cash prizes, and three dinners for two at the American Harvest Restaurant.

In addition to individual tickets, there are sponsorship opportunities that range from $300 - $5,000. Sponsorship packages offer a wide variety of benefits including tickets to the event, tickets to a special VIP reception, advertising space in the program book, and other signage and advertising recognition. All proceeds from Culinary Extravaganza benefit the Schoolcraft College Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, providing scholarships for students, including those in the college’s renowned culinary arts program.
