"Winter Carnival" is theme for School Daze celebration

The annual winter School Daze event welcoming students back to campus for the winter semester will be held January 24-25, 2012, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Lower Waterman in the VisTaTech Center. Students, staff and the community can enjoy food, fun, games and learn more about clubs, activities and events on campus this semester.

During this year's "Winter Carnival" guests can take advantage of free chair massages provided by the Schoolcraft College Massage Therapy program; free caricature drawings from BOB KAT ART; psychic readings by Metro Detroit Psychics for $5.00; enjoy music provided by United Productions DJ;  play video games on four big screen televisions provided by the Project Playhem Gaming Society, and much, much more. 

Guests can compete for prizes in a special version of the popular television game show "Minute to Win It," sponsored by the Student Activities Office. In addition, the SAO will sell hotdogs for 50 cents and have free popcorn, cotton candy, carmel corn and carmel apples in keeping with the carnival theme.  

Each student club and organization on campus has been invited to display information about their group and many will also be hosting games and activities. Several local merchants will be on hand with giveaways and special offers including Buffalo Wild Wings, T-Mobile, Sprint, TGI Fridays, Jimmy Johns, Margo's Spa and Salon, Novi Chiropractic, Henry's Food Service, Wayne County Four Star Health, Phoenix Theatres, Allied Advertising, Biggby Coffee, TCF Bank, Parkside Credit Union, and Noodles and Company.  For more information, call the SAO at 734-462-4422.
