Take a trip around the world at annual Multicultural Fair on March 28

The annual Multicultural Fair is an international celebration that highlights the amazing cultural diversity of the Schoolcraft College community. Now in its twelfth year, the Multicultural Fair features cultural displays, performances, language demonstrations, and ethnic snacks. This year's fair will be held Thurs., Mar. 28, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the college’s main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads. The fair is free and open to the public.

In addition to promoting cultural sensitivity and increasing awareness and appreciation of other cultures, the Multicultural Fair extends education beyond the classroom by exposing students, faculty, staff and the community to a multi-ethnic experience where students take the lead in teaching others.

Upon entering the fair guests are issued "passports" that can be stamped at each display table they visit. More than two dozen nations and cultures will be represented in displays where Schoolcraft students, faculty and staff will share their culture and answer questions. Performances will run continuously throughout the day, featuring dance, music, and art.
