Avalon String Quartet featured in free noon concert

The Avalon String Quartet will perform Haydn’s String Quartet in D Major and Debussy’s Quartet in G Minor in the December 6 free noon concert in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center.

Founded in 1995, the Quartet has grown into “one of the most exciting young string quartets in America,” according to The Washington Post. The quartet's first recording, “From Dawn to Dusk,” was named a 2002 record of the year by Chamber Music America.

The quartet members currently are full-time string and chamber music faculty at Indiana University at South Bend.
