Children love breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa, a yearly event sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, sells out every year. In fact, people begin calling in August to get their child's name on a list, and when tickets go on sale, it only takes two days to fill the 100 to 120 spots for children. Counting parents, the event has about 200 attendees.

Children aged 12 and under begin with a sit-down breakfast of pancakes and sausage. Next are holiday songs to sing, games to play, and a visit from Santa and his elves.

Children get their pictures taken with Santa in front of the fireplace, and each one receives an age- and gender-appropriate gift. Every child wins a prize in every game and also takes home a balloon.

This year Santa arrives Saturday, Dec. 16 in the DiPonio Room of the VisTaTech Center from 10am until noon. Tickets, which are all sold out, are $16 per child and $13 per adult. In case you are interested in attending next year, call the Student Activities Office at (734) 462-4422.
