Everyone invited to the Multicultural Fair

Entertainment, food, a cookbook of international recipes are the highlights of the 2007 Multicultural Fair. Each year the college celebrates the diversity and ethnic heritages of its staff, students and community. This year the event takes place Wednesday, March 28 from 10 a .m. until 3 p.m. in the DiPonio Room of the VisTaTech Center.

In addition to the more than two dozen cultural displays from around the world are dancers from Tahiti, an African drum and dance group, Native American flute music and Philippine and African/Asian dancing. The entertainment begins around 11 and continues into the afternoon.

Besides sampling the foods of other nations, guests can buy a special cookbook containing more than 80 recipes and collected from the students and staff at Schoolcraft College.

The Multicultural Fair is free and open to everyone from the college and the community. The fair is cosponsored by the International Institute, Student Activities and Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society.
