A digital fine art piece by Terri Jameson titled “Old Woman” won the best of show from among 37 computer graphic technology contenders in various categories. All will be exhibited at the CGT Student Art Show Friday, April 27. Festivities get under way at 6:30 p.m. in Bradner Library, with refreshments.

The award presentations will take place at approximately 7:30. “Old Woman” started as a lady in a figure in Jameson’s drawing class. Then Jameson, working in Photoshop, digitally enhanced the drawing with some of the software features and type.

The works will remain on exhibit until Thursday, May 3, and all are welcome to come and view them. Students submitted 125 of their best art to a panel of judges who narrowed the field to 37. The judging is part of an annual portfolio review all CGT students participate in. Categories include 3D modeling and animation; digital fine art; game design/interactive graphics; motion graphics; page layout; photography; pixel-based art; vector illustration and Web design.
