Free Classical Music Concert, Noon, Nov. 28

Pauline Martin, Nancy Ambrose-King and Amy Porter will combine their instruments and talents to produce a unique and masterful ensemble performance on Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Presentation Room in VisTaTech at noon. The concert will last approximately one hour and is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door and are used to help fund scholarships.

They will perform works by Carl Reinecke, Camille Saint-Saens and Alberto Ginastera. Each of these acclaimed musicians are highly regarded both as soloists and chamber music artists.
Martin’s 1985 debut in Washington D.C. was described as a “balanced, colorful and thoroughly engrossing performance.” Her award winning piano performances in the United States, Canada and Europe have continued to bring joy to audiences since.

Porter first leapt to international attention winning the Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan, which has led to invitations to perform throughout the world. She performs as a soloist as well as with orchestras in major cities of the United States.

King has appeared as a soloist throughout the United States and abroad, including Russia, the Czech Republic and Argentina. She has also performed as principal oboist with numerous orchestras across the country.
