Free Classical Concert at Noon Feb. 20

On Wednesday, February 20, Schoolcraft College will host a free classical concert at noon. Featured performers are violinist Aaron Berofsky and pianist Phillip Bush. They will be playing a selection of Beethoven’s sonatas for violin and piano in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center on the college’s Livonia campus, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.

Accomplished musicians each in their own right, when they join forces and perform together, the result is nothing less than spectacular. With repertoires extending from the classical composers of the 16th century to this century’s contemporary artists, Bush and Berofsky exhibit uncommon versatility and irrepressible energy in their performances.

The free noon-time concert series is sponsored by Schoolcraft College’s Liberal Arts Office and Music Department. While the concerts are free, donations are certainly appreciated and are used to help fund student scholarships in music.

Two more concerts remain in the 2007-08 season. Ralph Votapek, piano, will perform March 19. On April 19, Stephen Lusmann, baritone, and Logan Skelton, piano, will be featured.
