Commencement Ceremony is May 3

On Saturday, May 3,Schoolcraft College will celebrate its 43rd commencement. The ceremony will be held at Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth starting at 4 p.m.

More than 1,300 students are eligible to receive diplomas in the ceremony, with about 420 students participating in the actual ceremony.

Nancy L. Gioia, Director, Sustainable Mobility Technologies and Hybrid Vehicle Programs for Ford Motor Company, will provide the commencement address. Andrew Brown, president of college’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society for community colleges, will also address the graduating class.

Graduates will be honored for their pursuit and completion of a wide range of associate degrees in arts, applied science, engineering, general studies and science; post-associate certificates and skill certificates in a number of areas. In addition to the general commencement ceremony on May 3, the public Ssafety programs will celebrate their commencement in the Physical Education building on the Livonia campus on Friday, May 2 at 7 p.m.
