Annual Culinary Extravaganza is September 27

Schoolcraft College’s annual Culinary Extravaganza will be held Sunday, September 27 from  2-5 p.m. at the college’s VisTaTech Center, located on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads, in Livonia.

Culinary Extravaganza is a unique opportunity for guests to sample the finest culinary delicacies from nearly 50 of the area’s most notable restaurants, pastry shops and beverage vendors. This year’s event will once again include a wine tasting seminar and silent auction, featuring a wide variety of items. Tickets for Culinary Extravaganza are $50 per person ($20 of which is tax-deductible) and are available by calling 734-462-4518 or by visiting the www.schoolcraft.edu/foundation, where a complete list of participating restaurants, pastry shops and beverage vendors can be found.

New this year is a raffle. Tickets are only $5.00 each or three for $10.00. The raffle drawing will be held between 4-5 p.m. during Culinary Extravaganza, however, raffle ticket purchasers need not be present to win. Prizes include $1,000 for first prize, $500 for second prize, $250 each for third and fourth prizes, and three additional winners will receive dinner for two at the American Harvest Restaurant, located on the Schoolcraft College campus in Livonia. All proceeds from Culinary Extravaganza benefit the Schoolcraft College Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, providing scholarships for students, including those in the college’s renowned culinary arts program.
