Annual School Daze event is September 14-16
This year's annual School Daze event offers a wide variety of activities for students, faculty, staff and the community to participate in from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., September 14-16, 2010.
This year's theme, Fall Carnival, will feature three different days of activities. On Tuesday, the focus will feature a Wellness Fair; Wednesday is an opportunity for everyone to explore the Marketplace in and around campus; and Thursday features a Non-Profit fair, where attendees can explore services and volunteer opportunities.
All activities can be found under the tents on the college's Livonia campus, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads, in front of the college's Physical Education Building.
Daily attractions will include:
Play Punch Card-A-Pallooza attendees can qualify to win a free-iPad.
Lots of free services and items including Chair Massages from the Schoolcraft College Massage Therapy Program, Coke products from the EdgeRunner Ski Club, samples from Coldstone Creamery and Tropical Smoothie Café, caricature drawings, novelty games from the US Armed Forces, a variety of games and opportynities to win prizes at club tables, and, of course, free popcorn.
Several psychics will be available for readings, there will be players and representatives from the Plymouth Whalers, and the famous 50 Cent Hot Dogs, courtesy of the Student Activities Office.
In addition, the following activities are scheduled as special activities:
Renaissance Festival Entertainers will host a Dunk Tank to raise funds for The UNICEF Tap Project on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Kareoke Contest on Tuesday and Wednesday Main Stagefrom 1 - 2:00 p.m., with prizes from LIVE Nation and The Adcraft Club of Detroit.
Minute to Win it Games on the main stage Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Arrive Alive Drunk Driving Simulator Tuesday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Acoustic Entertainment, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Dueling Piano Shows, Thursday only, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Meijer Virtual Playground on Tuesday and Wednesday, featuring Wii games, free samples, the Coke Soccer Challenge and more.
Detroit Pistons on Wednesday and radio stations from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day including 89X on Tuesday, WYCD Young Country on Wednesday and WRIF on Friday.
