"Enemies: A Love Story" will be discussed in November

Pageturners, Schoolcraft College's book discussion group, will be reading and discussing Isaac Bashevis Singer's novel, "Enemies: A Love Story" on Thursday, November 18 at 4 p.m. at the Radcliff Center in Garden City and Monday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the Bradner Library on the college's main campus in Livonia. The disccusions are free and open to the public.

Almost before he know it, Herman Broder, refugee and survivor of World War II, has three wives: Yadwiga, the Polish peasant who hid him from the Nazis; Masha, his beautiful and neurotic true love; and Tamara, his first wife, miraculously returned from the dead. Astonished by each new complication, and yet resined to a life of evasion, Herman navigates an overly crowded Yiddish neighborhood in New York City with a sense of perpetually impending doom.

"Enemies: A Love Story" is available at a substantial discount from the Schooclraft College Bookstores on the main campus in Livonia and the Radcliff Center in Garden City. For more information about Pageturners visit hppt://sites.google.com/site/scpageturners/.
