Sam Gooden and his team in Media Services have to have an idea of how each of the subjects are taught at Schoolcraft College and how technology might be used in the classrooms. They also have to know what new technology tools are out there.

The Media Services staff has a lot to do. They install, maintain, train and research the equipment – tools such as liquid crystal display data projectors, document cameras, audio-visual systems – for every classroom in the college, including those used for outside training and Continuing Education.

The team also helps plan the technical needs of new buildings, and uses its production van to broadcast the Plymouth Whalers hockey team home games on local channels.
