The Women's Resource Center: a place for inspiration, perspiration

The Women's Resource Center is a place where people, especially women, come to transform their lives. They may enter having no job, no money and no self confidence, and they almost always leave with new skills, a career path, awakened self confidence and a promising future. Nancy K. Swanborg orchestrates the whole thing.

Swanborg is a recognized expert on helping women who are "displaced homemakers" build new lives. Their transformations often are amazing, heart wrenching and inspiring. Swanborg has a reputation for fairness and determination, and is an inspiration and role model to many who use the resources of the WRC.

Under Swanborg's leadership, the WRC's role has expanded, and its services have grown to include scholarships, personal and career counseling, and free divorce recovery sessions and legal advice. Because of her high profile in the community, she is an excellent ambassador for the college, and an example to all that one person can make a huge impact on the lives of others.
