After 10 years on the night shift as supervisor, Pat Pardo can finally come to work in the daylight. He is Schoolcraft’s new director of facilities services, and is responsible for keeping everything on campus clean and tidy, whether it be a room, a building or a parking lot. That also means removing snow and ice from outdoor walks and parking areas in the winter.

Pardo, who has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, previously worked for the Taubman Group and the Forbes-Cohen Group, and was stationed at shopping centers, including Somerset, the Fairlane Town Center and Briarwood Mall. His responsibilities included the grounds and building maintenance, and for a time he traveled around the country.

Committed to maintaining the college’s reputation of having extraordinarily well maintained and clean facilities, Pardo supervises almost 40 employees. He said his first objective is valuing his employees and partnering with them to create the maximum good.
