Kyle Denomme—Schoolcraft’s size is a good fit

When Kyle Denomme enrolled at Schoolcraft College in fall 2005, he had his sights set on becoming a theater major. As he completed his final semester at Schoolcraft and prepared to transfer to Eastern Michigan University last spring, the 20-year-old resident of Northville said along the way he discovered a completely new career path for himself.

“I want to get a bachelor’s degree in marketing, with a minor in sales,” he explained. “Eventually, I’d like to find a sales position in the food industry. Taking classes at Schoolcraft helped me realize that there are a lot of hardships for people who go into acting. I decided that it wasn’t a stable enough career for me.”

For Kyle, Schoolcraft turned out to be the perfect fit. “I really enjoyed the smaller classes here, because you get to know your professors,” he said. “Honestly, it’s one of the best places to start off. I learned how to be independent and manage my time. I probably wouldn’t have done as well at other places. I’m ready to move on now — ready to tackle a larger university.”
