Omar Aragones - Inspiration Comes In Many Forms

When Omar Aragones’ dad received treatment for a stroke and back problems, his son received inspiration for his career path. “When I took my dad for therapy, the physical therapist at the clinic talked with me about his own experience. He said that I reminded him of himself when he was younger and that he thought I’d be a good physical therapist,” said Omar.

After graduating from Canton Center High School, Aragones attended two other universities, including a private one in Puerto Rico, before deciding to continue his studies at Schoolcraft in preparation for his chosen career, physical therapy. He appreciates the quick commute from his home and the affordability and smaller class sizes that make for easier communication with his instructors.

While attending classes part-time, Aragones also works part-time as at waiter at the Olive Garden in Novi. He plans to transfer to Wayne State to finish his physical therapy program and ultimately open his own clinic.
