Pianist to perform free concert on February 11 at noon

Renowned pianist Lori Sims will share her music in a free concert at noon on Wednesday, February 11 in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center on Schoolcraft College’s main campus in Livonia.

A native of Colorado, pianist Lori Sims is the John T. Bernhard Professor of Music at Western Michigan University, where she has taught since 1997.  During the summer, she is an artist-teacher at the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina and the Internationale Konzertarbeitswochen in Goslar, Germany.

An internationally acclaimed performer, master class artist and winner of many competitions, she has performed throughout North America, Europe, and China including engagements with the NordDeutscheRadio Orchester in Hannover, the Israel Philharmonic, the Indianapolis Symphony, the Utah Symphony, the Spokane Chamber Orchestra, the Denver Chamber Orchestra, the Yale Philharmonic, and the Kalamazoo Symphony. 

During her appearance at Schoolcraft College on February 11, Ms. Sims’ program will feature Goldberg Variations by Bach.
