2011 Public Safety Career Expo is March 23

Annual Expo Spotlights Public Safety Careers and Services

The annual Public Safety Expo will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. Potential employers will be on hand to accept resumes and answer questions about their programs. The expo is free and the public is invited.

Those organizations attending include area police, sheriff, fire, and rescue units; Michigan Department of Corrections; federal law enforcement units including the DNR (Department of Natural Resources), DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), Marshals Service, Secret Service, and Customs and Border Protection; US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps; Wayne County Airport Authority; public safety and security departments from area hospitals and other public facilities; Schoolcraft’s training academies; and several colleges and universities. In addition several organizations will have equipment and vehicles on site for demonstrations.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring 30 or 40 resumes with them to the event. The Radcliff Center is located on Radcliff Street in Garden City, just south of Ford Road, between Merriman and Wayne Roads. For more information call 734-462-4421.
