Universal Human Rights art display through February

The Student Activities Office of Schoolcraft College is hosting a special exhibit throughout the month of February featuring artists' from around the globe and their expressions of universal human rights. The exhibit will be on display in the Lower Waterman area (in the VisTaTech Center) on the college's main campus in Livonia, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The exhibit, "The International Print Portfolio," was created to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and to raise awareness of human rights issues. The Artists for Human Rights Trust (Durban, South Africa) represent 25 countries including Iran, Cuba, South Africa, India Mozambique, Tibet and others. The works in this exhibit are striking not only in the variety of media but also in their emotional and sometimes disturbing subject matter.
