OE/OE classes offer alternative to classrooms

Open Entry/Open Exit classes are self-paced courses students complete at home. They attend no regular classes or lectures, and give students greater control over their learning schedules. OE/OE students often work full-time, but are still able to be in college, studying during the times their schedules permit.

In addition to studying at home, students can work in the college’s computer labs or in the OE/OE lab, where instructors are on hand during posted hours to help students. Students submit homework through e-mail, Blackboard, or by using the designated OE/OE drop-off area.

Students may register for OE/OE classes before the semester starts and up to the seventh week of the fall and winter semesters. Before beginning an OE/OE program, students must attend an orientation session, and they must complete all coursework by the end of the semester.
