Free Noon Concert feat. Merling Trio Jan. 14

    The Merling Trio is recognized as one of today’s premier ensembles. A truly international trio, it brings together musicians from Polish, Japanese, and Dutch backgrounds. Hailed as a brilliantly distinguished group endowed with remarkable gifts of communication, magnificent precision, and an impeccable blend of sound, the Trio has been performing together since 1993.
    The Merling Trio members include Renata Artman Knific on violin, Bruce Uchimura on cello and Susan Wiersma Uchimura on piano. In addition to performing recitals throughout the United States and Canada, the trio is in residence at the School of Music at Western Michigan University and are faculty members of the prestigious ENCORE School of Strings, and the Lancut Festival in Poland.
    As a part of the Schoolcraft College's Free Noon Concert Music Series, the Merling Trio will perform on Wednesday, January 14, at noon in at the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia, on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads. The Merling Trio will be performing:
