Sean Dobbins Trio

Sean Dobbins, Kurt Krahnke and Tad Weed form an outstanding and powerful trio. Their music is known for its high standards, modern concepts and originality. All three musicians are in great demand to accompany other local, regional and national jazz artists.

Drummer Sean Dobbins possesses incredible technique, sensitivity, style, flair and unbounded enthusiasm for the music. Dobbins has performed with many jazz notables and also co-leads his own jazz quintet Urban Transport.

Pianist Kurt Krahnke is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, but also studied at the New England Conservatory of Music. Krahnke played and toured with the acclaimed JC Heard Orchestra from 1986-89 and continues to serve as a mentor for young bassists in the region.

Acoustic Bassist Tad Weed’s discography includes over a dozen CD’s, and he has performed with some of the greatest names in jazz. He has played concerts, clubs, television and radio around the world, and is also in demand as an educator and clinician.
