Motor City Brass Quintet

The Motor City Brass Quintet features some of Detroit's most creative and versatile brass musicians, including members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, making the MCBQ an exciting addition to the diverse musical culture of Metropolitan Detroit.
The quintet's members have performed with many of the finest chamber ensembles including the Empire Brass Quintet, the Spectrum Brass Quintet, members of the Canadian Brass, and Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble and taught at institutions including the University of Michigan, the University of Toledo, Grand Valley State University, and Albion College. Detroit Free Press Music Critic Mark Stryker writes of the MCBQ’s “creative vitality” and “seamless and highly musical performances.”
