Schoolcraft College Librarians are Available to Help You

Published: 8/10/2012

Would you like to see more scholarly sources cited in your students’ research papers? Are your students over relying on Google or Wikipedia for much of their research? We can work with your students to bring them back from the web to scholarly sources and introduce them to books, e-books, research databases, and more. Research has shown that the most “teachable moment” for undergraduates to learn about library resources is when they have a specific assignment.

If you are assigning a research paper or journal readings this semester, please consider requiring your students to schedule a library orientation visit with us. We are available to work one-on-one or with small groups of students. Although these methods have proven more effective than the traditional one shot library orientation classes, we are also happy to meet with your class for a library orientation opportunity.

Please feel free to contact your Schoolcraft College librarians, at your convenience.

Thank you,
