Hispanic Documents Available

Published: 7/19/2007

Our Government Document collection currently includes 113 items written in Spanish or about Hispanic data. There are documents from many of the government agencies on a myriad of topics.

The titles are arranged by format, with the CDs and DVDs first. They are located at the Reference Desk in the Library. The microfiche documents are listed next. They can be found in the fiche cabinet next to the “D” call numbers in the book stacks. There is a microfiche reader/printer located next to the west bank of computers in the library. The paper documents comprise the remainder of the list, and they are located in the Government Publications shelves.

You can use the CLASSNO call number to locate each document.

All of these documents are on loan to us from the Federal Government for a period of no less than 5 years, at which time the documents can be returned to our Regional Depository in Lansing, MI. As a result, most of our collection is maintained on a current 5-year rotation.

Because of this, the government materials cannot be checked out of the library. But because we are guaranteed free access to government information through Title 44 of the Code of Federal Regulations, these items are not copyrighted and can be photocopied or printed for your use.
