What's up with Wikipedia?
Published: 9/10/2007
Wikipedia, (wiki, Hawaiian for quick) is a very popular collaborative encyclopedia. Anyone can contribute to and edit wikipedia. It has at times been controversial. It can often be a very good place to use as a starting point for locating basic background information on a topic or to get some suggestions for additional related internet resources for a topic. But, some caution should be used as to its overall accuracy. It probably should not, in most cases be the sole resource used for in depth research, just as you wouldn’t write a term paper after only consulting entries in the World Book encyclopedia.
