Schoolcraft hires new Tennis Pro

Rick Kynast has joined Schoolcraft College as a tennis professional in Continuing Education and Professional Development. Kynast is a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified teaching professional. He has been teaching and coaching players of all ages and experience levels for over twenty years, including serving as the coach for the boys and girls varsity tennis teams at Milford High School for eighteen years and as the Assistant Pro at the Livonia Family YMCA and the Farmington Tennis Club. In addition, he is a former top ten player in the Southeastern Michigan Tennis Association and three-year varsity letter winner for Michigan State University. 

“Rick is very professional and personable.  I think everyone will appreciate his teaching style.  He is just the person we need to lead and invigorate our tennis program,” said Michele Bialo, program manager.

Numerous classes, camps, leagues and tournaments offered by Schoolcraft College’s Continuing Education and Professional Development department include: Youth Tennis Try-Out Preparatory Class, Young Players Tennis Camps for Ages 6–10, Junior Tennis Camps for Ages 10–18, Adult Tennis, Adult Instructional Tennis League and Tennis Tournaments.  All of these activities enhance tennis players’ skills through instructional drilling and conditioning.
