NBC Learn is an online collection of videos, primary source documents, articles, and images for faculty, staff and students.   
     The collection includes:

• Over 10,000 resources
• 28 Higher Ed Collections
• NBC News Archives Spans 90 Years starting in the 1920’s
• Universal Newsreels / NBC Radio predates News Archives
• All Collections Regularly Updated with Current Events
• Original content collections such as “Science of the Olympics”
• Citations for all resources
• Closed captioning and transcripts available (when applicable)

     NBC Learn could be used as a:

• Means to further explain content
• Discussion prompt
• Vehicle to integrate current events
• Student resource for assignments

     “NBC Learn is an excellent resource to help expand upon subjects covered in classroom lecture. It is easy for both faculty and students to register. The subject matter search capabilities are very straight forward. I had posted the NBC Learn web site on my class Blackboard site. In the second CGT157 Prepress class, I was able to show the class a news clip of a old fashioned printing press in action. The search for printing presses revealed half a dozen good video clip options, all ranging from 2-5 minutes.
