Government Proposal Fundamentals Seminar

James N. Phillips, Jr., president of the Detroit Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) will provide an insightfuly overview of things to consider when business owners and managers are developing proposals in response to government solicitations. This informative seminar will be Tuesday, November 27 at the VisTaTech Conference Center of Schoolcraft College in Livonia. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The presentation and discussion will be from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $40 and reservations are required and can be made by calling 734-462-4438.

Phillips will provide information for interpreting solicitations and developing proposals. Part of the presentation will be from the perspective of the proposal reader to aid business leaders in preparing proposals that will be successful.

To aid seminar participants in answering their questions, attendees are encouraged to identify their top three issues or concerns and email them to inforeq@schoolcraft.edu.

The seminar is sponsored by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of Schoolcraft College and NCMA. PTAC provides assistance to business firms in marketing products and services to federal, state and local governments. NCMA is an association of contracting professionals from government, industry and non-profit organizations focused on professional development and ethical practices in government and commercial contracting.
