Published: 11/21/2008

Based on a recent position paper designed by the National Highway Traffic & Safety Administration in conjunction with the 2004 National Registry Scope of EMS practice analysis; Schoolcraft College is initiating the following guidelines and entrance criteria for all students enrolling in the Emergency Medical Technology Program.

As of January 2009, the following criteria will be implemented prior to student admission:

• Initial application submitted to the department of counseling prior to acceptance
• Must pass a required drug screening
• Must pass a required criminal background check
• Must have completed Biology 105 (Anatomy & Physiology) with a minimum of a 2.00/ C or better
