MacGuffin celebrates 25th Anniversary November 12

LIVONIA--On Thursday, November 12 a special celebration event will be held in honor of the MacGuffin's 25th anniversary. The MacGuffin is national literary magazine of Schoolcraft College. The anniversary celebration will be held in the Sutherland Room of the VisTaTech Center on the college's Livonia Campus beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The evenings festivities will include readings from several featured writers including Thomas Lynch, Josie Kearns, Mary Jo Firth Gillett and Christine Rhein. The Schoolcraft College Jazz Ensemble will also perform. Members of the Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Riccardo Selva, include Marion Nalepa, Barb Kay, Kelvin Chen, Dave Calzone, Carol Chen, Tony Solis and Bill Tatar. In addition members of the college's Jazz Improvisation Class will perform. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested and can be made to ncormier@schoolcraft.edu. 

The MacGuffin, established in 1984, is is published three times a year. Each 160 page issue features a collection of the best poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction received by the college. Each issue also includes a variety of black and white photos, prints and drawings.
