Nancy McCaochan, author of "Yoga at the Wall" to speak during luncheon Dec. 4

As the final installment in the Transition Center Fall 2009 Luncheon Series, Nancy McCaochan, author of "Yoga at the Wall," will discuss her book.

Tickets for the lunch, which will begin at 11:45 a.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the main campus of Schoolcraft College in Livonia (Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads), are $16 per person. They can be ordered by calling 734-462-4443.

McCaochan, both an author and yoga instructor, will discuss Yoga at the Wall, a method of discovering and unblocking oneself from one's own emotional "wall." Working with the support and resistance of an actual wall can help you identify how negative emotions have been turned into chronic discomfort, and can also help you unlock them.  "As we work with the resistance in our physical bodies, we stretch and strengthen, and we also open ourselves to greater understanding," according to McCaochan.
