Winter Concert featuring Jazz and Synthesizer Ensembles, Monday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. Schoolcraft College’s Jazz Ensemble, Synthesizer Ensemble and Jazz Combos from the college’s Improvisation Class will perform a free concert in the VisTaTech Center on the college’s main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.

The concert will feature an original composition, Michael: The Warrior from the Archangels Suite for Jazz Ensemble, by Dr. Riccardo Selva, director of the Jazz Ensemble. Guest performer is Bill Cairo, drummer for the Johnny Trudell Orchestra. Other selections include a variety of classic, contemporary, and holiday inspired works along with student compositions and arrangements. The concert is free, however donations are welcomed and will be used for student scholarships for the college’s Music Department.
