Free Transition to College workshop series for adults begins Feb. 18

The Transition to College workshop series addresses the concerns and challenges adults face when considering a return to (or starting) college. The series of workshops focuses on relieving some of the anxiety that many adults see as an obstacle between themselves and a college education. The series of workshops is free. Class size is limited.

At the Transition to College workshops,  prospective adult students, will:
 
Find out what the college expects of students and tips for success
Complete a Federal Financial Aid application
Discover grants and other funding options that may be right for adult learners
Learn about career programs at Schoolcraft College
Explore Schoolcraft College's job bank and placement services available only to our students
Meet with an Academic Advisor and register for classes

The workshops will be held Thursday evenings from 5 - 7 pm for five weeks  in the Transitions Center, located in the McDowell Center on the college's main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads. Class size is limited. Register by calling 734-462-4443. As an added bonus those   who attend all five sessionswill earn a tuition voucher valued at $100*.

*Attendance at all five sessions is required in order to be eligible for tuition voucher.
