Schoolcraft College has 10 Academic All-American Athletes

     The National Junior College Athletic Association recently announced the names of the 2009-10 NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American and Academic All-American awards. Over 1,300 NJCAA student athletes met the requirement for these high honors, including 10 students from Schoolcraft College.
Distinguished Academic All-Americans:
 Emily Bronkema  3.84 Volleyball I
 Jennifer Brunink  3.80 Volleyball I
 Tayler Seroke  3.85 Women's Bowling
 Nicole Trivax  3.94 Women's Soccer I
Academic All-Americans:
 Blake Furnari  3.60 Men's Bowling
 Michele Heikkinen  3.60 Women's Bowling
 Jordan Kerr  3.73 Volleyball I
 Kirstin Kirk  3.72 Volleyball I
 Brittany Pickett  3.76 Women's Soccer I
 Jamie Wick  3.63 Women's Cross Country I
     Award winners must have a 3.8 or better grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for Distinguished Academic All-American honors and a 3.6 – 3.79 GPA for Academic All-American honors, amongst other requirements.
