According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the employment of fitness workers is expected to increase 29 percent over the 2008–18 decade, which is much faster than the average for all occupations and has a national average wage of $25 an hour. These workers are expected to gain jobs because of the increasing number of people who are spending time and money on fitness and more businesses are recognizing the benefits of health and fitness programs for their employees.
This Professional Fitness Trainer program is offered in conjunction with World Instructor Training Schools. Whether students desire a career change, or want to build their own personal knowledge, at the end of this training program they will understand and describe basic anatomy, kinesiology and exercise physiology. Be able to assess an individual’s level of fitness using ACSM guidelines and design and customize exercise programs.
